The estate of acclaimed singer-songwriter Andrew Gold is thrilled to announce their latest collaboration with Disney Entertainment Television, which will spotlight the lyrics to Gold’s classic hit “Thank You for Being a Friend” on “The Golden Girls”-themed merchandise. The collaboration, which comes just ahead of the beloved legacy series’ 40th anniversary, marks the first time the music and lyrics for “Thank You for Being a Friend” have been available in connection with “The Golden Girls” merchandise, facilitated by Lenny Herbert of Maximum Orbit on behalf of the Andrew Gold estate. Andrew Gold was a versatile musician who worked on everything from TV theme songs to Linda Ronstadt records to his own top 40 hits—and so much more.
